PRC receives more COVID-19 vaccines
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Red Cross yesterday received additional COVID-19 vaccines from the government, which would be distributed to six PRC vaccination sites in Metro Manila.
PRC chairman Sen. Richard Gordon said the agency received 10,000 doses of CoronaVac, Pfizer and Sputnik V vaccines.
The vaccines will be distributed to vaccination facilities in Port Area and Pandacan, Manila; San Lorenzo, Makati; Arcovia City, Pasig; Mandaluyong and Pasay.
Gordon said the PRC would deploy at least 1,000 vaccinators in Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Iloilo to help local governments inoculate more people.
The PRC has two vaccination buses in Metro Manila.
“Three more buses will arrive soon. We will also deploy vans so that we can vaccinate people in every nook and corner,” Gordon said at a press briefing.
