2 dead in Luzon mishaps

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two persons died in separate vehicular accidents in Isabela and Ilocos Sur on Sunday.

Milagros Garro died at the scene while 16 others were injured when their truck smashed into a power post in Cabagan, Isabela.

Six of the injured victims were minors.

The victims were on their way home to Tumauini town from an excursion when they figured in the accident in Barangay Cansan at around 3:20 p.m., according to Cabagan police chief Maj. Rodante Albano.

The victims were brought to the Milagros Albano District Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, in Ilocos Sur, Manolito Ducusin died after his motorcycle collided with a jeep in the town of Santiago.

The impact threw Ducusin off his motorcycle.

He was declared dead on arrival at the Candon City General Hospital.
