Pfizer jabs for poor
Meanwhile, at least 1,200 poor residents in Valenzuela were inoculated with Pfizer jabs yesterday during the rollout of the city government’s A5 vaccination program.
The vaccine recipients were selected among the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Mayor Rex Gatchalian said.
The Pfizer doses donated by the vaccine sharing facility COVAX were allocated by the national government to the poor under the A5 category.
The city government continued its vaccination of economic frontliners over the weekend.
City hall is implementing two shifts for the vaccination of essential workers or those belonging to the A4 category – the morning and “after-hour” or night shifts.
The night shift, which starts from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., will enable workers to get vaccinated after office hours, Gatchalian said.
