CebuPac transports COVID-19 vaccines to Visayas and Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific transported about 70,000 COVID-19 vaccines to the Visayas and Mindanao in the past two days.
At least 4,760 doses were delivered to Bacolod; Cotabato, 7,600; Davao, 18,075; Legazpi, 27,620; Puerto Princesa, 7,600, and Zamboanga, 5,320.
“We are happy to support the government in its efforts to curb the virus. Our country’s progress has been promising and we look forward to an even stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors,” Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Alexander Lao said.
Cebu Pacific said the vaccines were preserved in temperature-specific refrigerated containers to maintain potency and efficacy until their arrival at the designated stations.
On May 7, the carrier transported 1.5 million doses from Beijing, the largest single shipment flown by a Philippine carrier to date.
Cebu Pacific has flown over 2.5 million vaccine doses, over half a million of which were delivered to seven provinces in the country, since March.
