DPWH conducts weekend road repairs

Jose Rodel Clapano - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways started road repairs along EDSA and three other roads in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday night, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said yesterday.

The affected sections of EDSA include the northbound portion fronting Landers, first lane from the sidewalk; northbound from Quezon Avenue up to Landmark, first lane from the bike lane; and its southbound segment opposite of Trinoma Mall, second lane from the sidewalk, Villar said.

He said the DPWH will also close for repair a segment of C-5 Road before Magsaysay Avenue, second lane from the sidewalk; Agham Road in front of the Office of the Ombudsman, first lane from the center island; and West Avenue, from Times street to Quezon Avenue, first lane from the sidewalk.

The DPWH-NCR will use one-day curing concrete mix to be able to reopen the affected road segments by 5 a.m. on May 3.
