MANILA, Philippines — Sixty-eight kilos of marijuana valued at P8.1 million were confiscated from five persons in Malolos, Bulacan on Wednesday.
Authorities said John Patrick Milan, 26; Kevin Paul Jose, 27; Mispa Jamsen, 28; Jayson Justiniano, 30, and Enrick Justin, 29, were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the the local police after selling marijuana worth P1,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay Look 1st at around 2:30 p.m.
The suspects are said to be major suppliers of marijuana in Bulacan and Pampanga.
“This should serve as a warning to drug syndicates, whether they are peddling marijuana or shabu,” Philippine National Police chief Gen. Debold Sinas said.
In Maguindanao, Candao Mamalacat and siblings Rahim and Baluno Abusama were arrested in a drug sting in Barangay Buayan in Datu Piang.
The suspects reportedly yielded P3.4 million worth of shabu.
