2 men gunned down in wake

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two persons were gunned down during the wake of their neighbor in Barangay Parian in Calamba, Laguna on Monday.

Police said Anthony Bataller and Ernesto Vista were playing cards when an unidentified assailant arrived and shot the victims at close range. The gunman fled on foot.

Probers said the killing could be related to illegal drugs, noting that the fatalities were on the drug watchlist.
