98% of Taguig’s health workers get COVID-19 jabs
MANILA, Philippines — At least 98 percent of all healthcare workers in Taguig have been vaccinated against COVID-19, the city government said over the weekend.
In a public information bulletin, Taguig said 7,952 healthcare workers from Taguig-Pateros District Hospital, the city health office, Cruz-Rabe Hospital, Medical Center Taguig Inc., St. Luke’s Medical Center-Global City, Recuenco General Hospital, Dr. Sabili General Hospital and Taguig Doctors Hospital were inoculated.
“The city commits to provide free vaccines for its one million citizens and aims to finish the vaccination for the remaining medical frontliners in the first quarter of the year,” the city government said.
Taguig recorded 182 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the number of total active cases to 243. The city has so far recorded 15,150 confirmed COVID-19 cases since March last year, with 14,722 recoveries and 185 deaths.
