Man pursues robber, shot dead

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — A 19-year-old man was shot dead by a robber whom he pursued in Jaro district in this city on Saturday night.

Carl Dominic Labuson of Leganes town was declared dead on arrival at the Metro Iloilo Hospital and Medical Center Inc. due to gunshots to the head and chest.

Reports said Labuson was having his motorcycle filled at a gasoline station in Leganes when he saw a woman being robbed.

The motorcycle-riding robber sped away, prompting Labuson to pursue him, according to Captain Eduardo Siacon, Jaro police chief.

Upon reaching Barangay Tagbac in Jaro, the suspect slowed down and shot the victim twice.
