MANILA, Philippines — In recognition of the crucial role of barangay leaders and workers in keeping communities safe from COVID-19, Sen. Bong Go visited Silang, Cavite on Wednesday to provide them support.

Go’s staff served meals and distributed food packs, vitamins, face masks and face shields to the beneficiaries.

Selected barangay workers received new pairs of shoes while others were provided bicycles so they can get around their communities with ease.

Another group of barangay leaders were given computer tablets to help their children in blended learning activities.

Go witnessed the ceremonial turnover of service recognition incentives for barangay officials and employees.

The ceremony was held at the Lalaan Central School in Barangay Lalaan II, where 704 barangay officials were provided a one-time incentive from the Office of the President.
