5 arrested for shabu
MANILA, Philippines — Five suspects were arrested for alleged possesion of P544,000 worth of shabu in Malabon on Sunday.
Ricardo Morante, John Luis Pinlac, Marte Maanyag, Edward Lamsen and Darwin Asillador were collared in a drug sting in Barangay Longos.
Anti-narcotics agents said they confiscated 17 sachets of shabu from the suspects.
In Taguig, Van Erick Mangaoang, 25, a call center agent, was nabbed after he allegedly yielded over 500 grams of marijuana over the weekend.
Mangaoang reportedly sold a pack of marijuana to a policeman who posed as a buyer along Lozañes street in Barangay Central Bicutan.
Police said they recovered from the suspect P69,420 worth of drugs and a digital weighing scale.
Mangaoang is being held by police on charges of drug trafficking.
