259 Manila barangays COVID-19 free

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno yesterday recognized 259 barangays for being COVID-free in the past four months.

Of the figure, Moreno said 33 barangays are “grand slam winners” for registering zero cases of COVID-19 for four consecutive months.

Each barangay received P100,000 in cash incentives.

Moreno also commended the other barangays which maintained a low number of COVID-19 infections.

Meanwhile, Moreno approved yesterday the holding of limited face-to-face classes at the Centro Escolar University School of Dentistry.
