CAGAYAN DE ORO, Philippines — Motorcycle-riding assailants gunned down a policeman in this city on Wednesday night.
Cpl. El John Capawa, 30, was on his way home when he was shot at around 7 p.m., Maj. Evan Viñas, city police spokesman, said.
Four bullet casings for a caliber .45 pistol were recovered at the scene.
Viñas said Capawa was assigned at the regional personnel holding and accounting unit and plans and strategic management division at Camp Alagar.
“Investigators are looking at all angles, including his personal and professional life,” Viñas said.
