MANILA, Philippines — Several stations of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) stopped operations yesterday due to a power supply glitch.

Starting at around 2:30 p.m., the MRT-3 stations from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard were operational.

The management shut down the MRT-3 stations from Boni Avenue to Taft Avenue.

The MRT-3 implemented provisional service from North Avenue to Shaw Boulevard stations as the rail line’s overhead catenary system (OCS) from Guadalupe to Ayala stations suffered power failure.

The OCS supplies electricity to enable the trains to run.

The MRT-3 management has yet to issue an advisory when all stations would be operational.
