TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Christmas parties, which are banned in many areas as a precautionary measure against coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19, is allowed in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

Mayor Eufemia Dacayo issued Executive Order 48 allowing Christmas parties in private and government offices provided these are exclusive to employees.

Under the EO, the event should be held in a well-ventilated venue operating at 50 percent of its capacity.

Dacayo said the program should be short, adding that parlor games and karaoke machines are strictly prohibited.

Drinking liquor is allowed provided there is no sharing of glasses.

Solano now has no COVID-19 case after its three remaining patients recovered on Thursday.
