Fire hits DPWH compound in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — A fire broke out in the compound of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City on Thursday night.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said around P50,000 worth of property went up in flames during the fire, which started at around 10:55 p.m.
The fire reached second alarm at around 11 p.m. before it was put out at around 12:13 a.m. yesterday.
The BFP said the fire originated at the barracks, destroying eight rooms. Probers have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
There were no reported casualties during the fire.
Twenty fire trucks and three ambulances responded to the scene.
