13 hurt as LPG tank explodes in Olongapo

OLONGAPO City, Philippines — Thirteen members of a family were injured when a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank exploded in Barangay Gordon Heights in this city yesterday

“Firefighters and members of the rescue team immediately rushed the victims to the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital for treatment,” Echie Ponge, barangay chairman, told The STAR.

Among those injured was a one-year-old baby from the nearby village of Barangay Sta. Rita, Ponge said.

The rest were residents of Barangay Gordon Heights.
