3 quarantine facilities in Pasay completed

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Monday announced the completion of three quarantine facilities for COVID-19 patients in Pasay.

DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said the isolation sites are located at the Wmall, Folk Arts Theater and Pasay City Sports Complex.

“These facilities will accommodate mild and asymptomatic cases to prevent the spread of the virus,” Villar said.

He said the quarantine facilities have air-conditioned rooms, a nurse station, working area and an X-ray room.

The DPWH hopes to finish this month the conversion of shipping containers into a 72-bed quarantine facility at the Villamor Air Base, Villar said.
