Girl, 13, raped, killed in Isabela

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A 13-year-old girl, believed to be a victim of rape, was found dead in a creek in Barangay Bella Luz, San Mateo, Isabela on Tuesday.

Town police chief Maj. Darwin Urani said the body of the victim, which bore signs of strangulation, was naked from the waist down.

Initial investigation showed the victim was left alone in her house on Monday.

The creek where her body was found floating is around 200 meters away from her house.
