TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A nine-year-old girl died while her seven-year-old brother managed to escape when a fire razed their house in Barangay Monamon, Bauko, Mountain Province on Wednesday.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the girl was trapped in the burning house.
Probers said the cause of the fire, which started at around 5 p.m. and declared out after about an hour, has yet to be determined.
The parents of the victims were not home during the incident.
