MANILA, Philippines — The Rotary International District 3800 recently launched a three-in-one pandemic aid program to bring relief to Filipino families.

District governor Anthony Parungao said the “Gulay, Bigas at Telepono” aid program is meant to help farmers, families whose breadwinners lost their jobs and primary school students who have chosen modular learning due to a lack of gadgets or internet connectivity in their homes.

The group bought 7,000 kilos of vegetables and 3,100 of rice from farmers in Talavera, Nueva Ecija to be distributed to 3,000 indigent families in Metro Manila and Rizal.

They also gave mobile phones to 100 modular learners.
