P27.2 million shabu seized in Laguna, Lanao Sur

MANILA, Philippines — Four kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P27.2 million were recovered in stings in Laguna and Lanao del Sur on Friday.

Two kilos of shabu worth P13.6 million were seized from Thocks Haron, 50, in an anti-drug operation in Barangay San Vicente, San Pedro City, according to Adrian Alvariño, regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Metro Manila.

Alvariño said two cellular phones and a Toyota Fortuner were also confiscated from the suspect.

He said Haron had been under surveillance for one week.

In Lanao del Sur, Juvenal Azurin, PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) director, said two kilos of shabu were recovered in Barangay Bago Ingud in Malabang town.

Charly Talib, Radal Naming, Aljun Saribon, Albashir Bakundo and Michael Gamuranao were arrested.
