Girl, 2, dies in road crash

MANILA, Philippines — A two-year-old girl died after she fell off a tricycle and was run over by a bus in Tondo, Manila on Saturday night.

Reports said the victim was in the tricycle driven by her father, Rico Gulura, 22, when she fell on the pavement at the corner of Yuseco and Almeda streets.

A Kia Grandbird bus driven by Jimboy Anota, 42, struck the girl, who died at the scene from massive injuries.

Both Gulura and Anota were arrested by police after the accident.
