Roads closed for weekend repairs

MANILA, Philippines — Motorists should brace for traffic jams this weekend as several roads in the metropolis will be closed to motorists for repairs, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said yesterday.

The Department of Public Works and Highways started road reblocking last night, the MMDA said.

Closed to motorists are A. Bonifacio Avenue, EDSA-West Avenue, General Luis street in Novaliches, Elliptical Road from Kalayaan Avenue to Maharlika street, Aurora Boulevard, Katipunan Avenue and Boni Serrano flyover.

These roads will be opened on Monday, the MMDA said.
