Suspect killed in Tarlac drug sting

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A drug suspect was killed in a sting in Tarlac on Sunday.

Rommel Siso drew his gun when he sensed he had sold shabu to undercover agents in Barangay San Vicente, Tarlac City, according to a report received by Col. David Poklay, Tarlac police director.  

Meanwhile, in Cavite, 34 bricks of marijuana with an estimated value of P1.2 million were recovered in Barangay Lalaan II, Silang at around 5 p.m., also on Sunday.

Police said barangay officials found the illegal drugs in a lot owned by a real estate development company after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen.
