2 dead as van collides with multicab in Misamis

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines —  Two persons died when a van collided with a multicab in Zone 2, Barangay Aplaya, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental yesterday.

Police said the fatalities are passengers of the multicab, one of them identified as Milijun Masion.

Another multicab passenger, Philip Angelo Barbosa, remains in critical condition in a hospital.

The van, driven by John Allen Elcarte, crashed into the multicab on the opposite lane, when it changed lane. The van also hit a motorcycle.

Probers said the Elcarte could have fallen asleep.

Police are readying charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, damage to property and multiple physical injuries against Elcarte.
