Fisherman gunned down in Navotas

MANILA, Philippines — A fisherman was shot dead at a covered court in Barangay Northbay Boulevard South, Navotas at past midnight yesterday.

Greg Samson was just talking with a group of men when the conversation escalated into an argument, prompting suspect Edward Sansuwi to pull out a gun and shoot Samson in the chest.

A 13-year-old boy who was passing by was also wounded in the attack when a bullet hit his arm.

Police are still investigating the motive for the incident, said Navotas lead investigator Lt. Gener Sanchez.

The victim’s partner said she remains clueless as to the motive for the killing.
