Portions of EDSA-Shaw Boulevard closed tomorrow

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday advised motorists to brace for traffic jams as portions of EDSA-Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City would be closed tomorrow.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the Manila Water Co. Inc. would repair its defective mainline butterfly valve on the outer southbound lane of EDSA-Shaw Boulevard from Friday night until Sunday.

Manila Water said the maintenance repair aims to ensure the availability of water supply in the area.

MMDA traffic chief Bong Nebrija said commuters should adjust their travel time to avoid inconvenience.

“The affected area is a critical intersection where drop-off and pick up points for city buses are located along EDSA,” Nebrija said.
