Reward up for Butuan radioman killer’s arrest
MANILA, Philippines — A reward of P50,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the man who stabbed to death Francisco Patindol, radio commentator of dxJM in Butuan City, on Saturday.
Brig. Gen. Gilbert Cruz, Caraga police director, said a concerned citizen, whom he did not identify, offered the reward.
In an interview over dzBB, Cruz said a manhunt for Ulating Barapangcat, alias Ola Saransamen, whom witnesses identified as the assailant, is ongoing.
Patindol and his companions were in front of Albay Copy Center in Barangay New Society Village when the incident occurred. He died while being treated at the MJ Santos Hospital.
