Eva Visperas - The Philippine Star

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines — For not stopping his dog from barking at a stranger, a 71-year-old resident of this city was stabbed to death on Sunday.

Amado Cabuntocan was pronounced dead on arrival at the Region 1 Medical Center.

Initial investigation showed the suspect, fisherman Alberto Velasquez, 55, was invited to a drinking spree in Barangay Pugaro Boquig when Cabuntocan’s dog followed and did not stop barking at him.

After the drinking session that lasted for almost two hours, Velasquez allegedly took a bladed weapon from his house and attacked Cabuntocan.
