MANILA, Philippines — A man wanted for shooting a security guard at a condominium in Makati City last March was arrested in Barangay Sta. Ana, Manila Friday night after more than seven months in hiding, an official said yesterday.

Mark Anthony Yap, 31, who works as a waiter, was arrested shortly after police spotted him in a bar along Tejeron street, said Senior Superintendent Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief.

Simon said the Makati police have been monitoring Yap’s activities a few months after an arrest warrant was issued by Judge Elmo Alameda of Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 for frustrated murder.

Yap was allegedly seen in a closed-circuit television video shooting Aniceto Mangaser, 52, who was talking with a person at the condominium’s lobby.
