Pia Lee-Brago - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino worker was stabbed dead by another Filipino in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said yesterday.

A report from the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah identified the fatality as Datu Odin Sinsuat, 29, of Maguindanao.

Consul General Edgar Badajos said Sinsuat was allegedly killed by his co-worker, who is a resident of Capiz.

The victim and the suspect both work as drivers for a Saudi family.

Prior to the killing, Badajos said the two engaged in a fistfight in front of the house of their employer.

The suspect was arrested by police after the incident.

Badajos said the Consulate General and Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Jeddah would extend assistance to the families of Sinsuat and the suspect.
