Gunman in Korean’s slay falls

MANILA, Philippines — The alleged gunman in the killing of a South Korean in Cebu City on Aug. 26 was arrested on Thursday.

Jesus Casado, alias Kano; his partner Arlene Soguilon, 46, and her daughter, Ajie, 18, were collared at the JY Crown Plaza in Barangay Lahug. Casado reportedly yielded a caliber .45 pistol and ammunition.

Mandaue City Regional Trial Court Branch 28 and 87 Judges Allan Garciano and Ferdie Rivera, respectively, issued the warrants.

Young Ho-lee, 22, was killed at a hotel in Barangay Mabolo.

Chief Superintendent Debold Sinas, Central Visayas police director, said he received reports that Casado was not only involved in contract killing but also drug peddling.

Probers are eyeing a love triangle as the motive for the killing.
