ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — At least 2,000 people were left homeless in a fire that hit a coastal village here yesterday.
The fire broke out at past 1 p.m. and destroyed at least 400 houses on Calle Balimbing in Barangay Labuan.
No one was reported injured or killed in the blaze that lasted two hours, according to Elmeir Apolinario, chief of the city disaster office.
