MANILA, Philippines — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is offering free skills training for tambays or loiterers to avoid police arrest, an official announced yesterday.
TESDA chief Guiling Mamondiong urged loiterers to visit any TESDA office and avail themselves of skills training.
Mamondiong said the program is in support of the administration’s crackdown on loiterers and violators of local ordinances.
Scholarships are also available at the TESDA offices, he said.
