37 arrested for drugs in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — At least 37 persons were arrested for illegal drugs in Metro Manila over the past two days.

Nineteen of the suspects were arrested in Quezon City. Edwin Abellaran, Herbert Reyes, Julius Uy, Jordan Osabel were arrested in a sting in Barangay Pasong Putik yesterday.

Fifteen were arrested on Monday, among them a 16-year-old girl who was caught in a sting along with Paolo Ngalongalo and Reynaldo Atutubo in Barangay Nova Proper.

Eight more suspects were arrested in Makati City. Among them were John Joseph Siriban, Renato Cruz, Josephine Lising, Bryan Rhey Saenz and Maribel Espiritu.

Harold Protacio and Erica Flores were allegedly found to be carrying drugs after they tried to run when they were caught smoking on the street.

Ramil Bitoy was found to be carrying drugs and a bladed weapon when he was frisked after being caught urinating along EDSA.

In eastern Metro Manila, five persons were arrested in anti-drug operations on Monday: Billy Sanga, Rex Ramos, Michael Taupo, Vinia Hernandez and Virgilio Bersoto.

Christopher Reyes, Josefino Bernardo, Sandy Agular, Jezyl Zerna and Ramil Santiagoy Jr. were arrested in northern Metro Manila.
