MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated 13 kilos of marijuana worth at least P157,200 from three suspects during a drug sting in Manila early yesterday morning.
Arden Kennet Ledesma, 26, was arrested together with two minors along Dimasalang Road in Sampaloc at around 4 a.m.
PDEA operatives said they were able to buy seven kilos of marijuana from the suspects prior to their arrest.
Ismael Fernando, PDEA deputy director general for administration, said the suspects sold the illegal drugs to their clients through social media.
Fernando said the two minors would be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Charges of selling and possession of illegal drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspects.
