3 arrested for drugs, gun in Pasay, Muntinlupa
MANILA, Philippines — Three persons were arrested and more than P71,000 worth of shabu seized during drug stings in Pasay and Muntinlupa before dawn yesterday.
Police seized the shabu and a 9mm pistol from Joey Victor Gonzales, 50, who was arrested near his house on Humilidad street in Barangay 14, Zone 1 at around 2:15 a.m. yesterday.
Rosalie Nicolas Malicsi, 40, and Juan Buenaobra Carlos, 35, were arrested in another sting in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa at around 11:30 a.m.
Police seized P1,000 worth of shabu, marked money and a Mitsubishi Adventure (XGL-660) from Malicsi, reported to be a high-value target.
In Quezon City, a man claiming to be a Customs broker and six others were arrested in anti-drug operations in the past two days.
Gel-Barey Emperador, 36, an alleged Customs broker, was arrested in a sting in Barangay Pinyahan at around 2 a.m. yesterday. Three sachets of shabu were seized from him.
Suspected dealer Charles Hemady, 18, was caught in a sting in Barangay San Martin de Porres. A sachet of marijuana leaves was seized from him.
Six sachets of shabu with a street value of P12,500 were seized from Joan Manrique, 36, in Barangay Nova Proper.
Darwin Mondido, 23; Randolf Canon, 31; Renaldo Dizon, 20; and Erickson Noriega, 30, were caught with five sachets of shabu with a street value of P12,500 in Barangay Sta. Monica. – Emmanuel Tupas
