2 teens caught breaking into house in Muntinlupa
MANILA, Philippines — Two teenage boys were arrested for allegedly trying to break into a house in Muntinlupa City last Tuesday, police said yesterday.
Hans dela Cruz, 18, and his 17-year-old companion were arrested by watchmen of Barangay Poblacion in the house of Bernie Carcosia along Burma street in the New Bilibid Prison Reservation at around 5 a.m.
Carcosia told police he was sleeping in the living room of his house when he heard a noise and saw the suspects in his home.
The suspects ran out and away as Carcosia gave chase. Carcosia went to the barangay hall to seek help when he could not catch them.
Barangay watchmen and police officers from Police Community Precinct 6 arrested the teenagers.
They confiscated from Dela Cruz a nine-inch butterfly knife or balisong. Dela Cruz is being held at the city police’s criminal investigation unit while the minor was brought to Bahay Pag-asa, the city government’s shelter for children in conflict with the law.
They were charged with trespassing and illegal possession of bladed weapon in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
