MANILA, Philippines — A former sexy actress was arrested for alleged possession of illegal drugs in Quezon City on Saturday.
Katrina Santos, also known as Kat de Santos, was nabbed during a drug sting along Tagaytay street in Barangay San Jose at around 3 a.m.
Santos was a former member of the girl group Baywalk Bodies.
Police said Santos was collared following an alleged drug deal with two men, who eluded arrest.
Authorities said they recovered sachets of shabu from Santos.
Seven other drug suspects were arrested in Barangays E. Rodriguez, Socorro, Paligsahan and Tagumpay.
In Manila, 11 persons, including a namesake of a veteran actress, were nabbed in separate anti-narcotics operations.
Glenda Garcia, 42, was apprehended after she allegedly tried to sneak drugs into the detention facility of the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 8.
Police said Garcia visited her partner, Wesley Imperial, who is being held on drug charges.
When frisked, Garcia allegedly yielded two sachets of shabu.
Ten other drug suspects were arrested by police in Manila.
They were Rex Sagarino, 37; Jocebel Lopez 37; JM Raqueza, 20; Rolando Ramos, 27; Ronnie Alivar, 43; Louie Mibica, 24; Willy Caandoy, 34; Kenneth Loreta, 18; Marvin Guevarra, 38, and Gerardo Raddres, 33.
Police said they confiscated packs of shabu and marijuana from the suspects.
In eastern Metro Manila, two persons were collared for alleged shabu possession.
Chaibeth Triñanes was collared during a sting in Barangay Barangka in Marikina.
Triñanes allegedly yielded six sachets of shabu and P500 in marked money.
