Motorcycle rider dies in crash

MANILA, Philippines — A motorcycle rider died when he was hit by a truck in Barangay Apolonio Samson in Quezon City on Saturday night.

Jayvi Morana, 36, died on the spot from massive injuries.

Traffic probers said Morana was on a motorcycle with another rider when they tried to overtake the truck driven by Sherano Galigao along Kaingin Road.

Morana was hit by the left rear wheel of the truck, causing him to fall off the motorcycle.

Galigao turned himself in to police after the accident.
