LINGAYEN, Philippines — A village watchman drowned during an excursion on a beach here on Friday afternoon.
Rogelio Trinidad, 31, of Caloocan City, was swimming with his friends in Barangay Maniboc when he was carried away by the current.
A resident tried, but failed to rescue Trinidad, who was declared dead on arrival at the Lingayen District Hospital.
