TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan, Philippines — A retired Army soldier and his grandson were arrested for indiscriminate firing in Barangay Cataggaman Viejo in this city on Wednesday.
Fernando Andal, 51, and Barry Llanes, 19, engaged in a shooting frenzy along the riverbank, according to their neighbors who reported the incident.
Superintendent Edward Guzman, city police chief, said responding policemen recovered 104 bullet shells for an M16 rifle at the scene.
The suspects reportedly yielded an M16 rifle and several bullets.
