Engineer, tailor shot dead

MANILA, Philippines — Two persons were gunned down in Pangasinan and Laguna, respectively, on Friday.

 Engineer Benjamin Saringan, 63, a resident of Barangay Maniboc in Lingayen, was having a drinking spree with his friends when an unidentified man arrived and shot him several times. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jesus Nazarene General Hospital.

Tailor Donato Salvana, 54, had just bought food at a convenience store in Barangay Butong, Cabuyao, Laguna, when he was shot.

Meanwhile, in Ilocos Norte, human skeletal remains were dug up at a construction site in Barangay Quiling Norte, Batac also on Friday. 

Kenneth Alora, 21, discovered the skeletal remains while operating a backhoe to lay the foundation of a church.
