TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan — A former village councilman was arrested for killing his wife and wounding his neighbor in a gun attack in Burgos, Isabela yesterday.
Rolando Gabriel, 63, tried to shoot himself when cornered by personnel of the Isabela Special Weapons and Tactics team in front of a chapel in nearby Gamu town, but his gun ran out of bullets.
Probers said Gabriel shot his neighbor Ricardo Asuncion when he came to his house after hearing gunshots.
Police are still investigating Gabriel’s motive for killing his wife Isabel, 61.
