MANILA, Philippines — Earthquakes hit parts of the country yesterday, but state seismologists said no damage was reported.
A magnitude 4.2 quake, with its epicenter traced five kilometers northwest of Tabina town, jolted Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:53 a.m.
The quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Tabina and Intensity 2 in Pagadian City and Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur.
At around 10:49 a.m., a magnitude 1.8 tremor struck six kms southeast of Legazpi, Albay.
A magnitude 3.5 quake also occurred at around 1:06 p.m. in Leyte.
The epicenter of the quake was traced seven kms southwest of Abuyog.
The quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Abuyog and Javier, Intensity 3 in Mahaplag and McArthur and Intensity 2 in Dulag and Tolosa, all in Leyte.
On Sunday night, a magnitude 4 quake also shook parts of Albay.
It was felt at at Intensity 4 in Ligao, Camalig, and Guinobatan, Albay and Intensity 3 in Legazpi City and Tabaco City.
