Flights, bus trips canceled due to 'Lannie,' 'Maring'

Several flights were canceled due to Typhoon Lannie and Tropical Depression Maring.

MANILA, Philippines — Following heavy rains brought by Typhoon Lannie and Tropical Depression Maring, flights and bus trips have been canceled by authorities on Tuesday morning.

The Manila International Airport Authority has announced the cancelation of domestic flight of the Philippine Airlines Express flight from Manila bound to Legazpi, and Legazpi bound to Manila.

There is still no cancelation announcement for international flights, the MIAA added.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has also announced the temporary cancelation of bus trips bound for Aurora province, due to Tropical Depression Maring that is currently barreling towards Quezon-Aurora area.

"Maring" is expected to make a landfall in the Quezon-Aurora provinces in the afternoon.

Signal No. 1 is currently hoisted over the two provinces and other areas such as Metro Manila, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Northern Quezon including Polillo Island, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, La Union, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan and Laguna.
