SAN CARLOS, Pangasinan , Philippines – A 16-year-old boy drowned in a pond here over the weekend.
Jordan Fernandez and his brothers Jonas and Eric went to the pond in Barangay Naquilayan to swim on Saturday afternoon.
The brothers were not aware the pond was deep.
Eric and Jonas tried to rescue their brother, but they too almost drowned.
Neighbors arrived, but they were only able to rescue Jonas and Eric.
Jordan was declared dead on arival at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital.
