Holiday in Surigao del Norte on May 15

SURIGAO CITY , Philippines  – It’s a special non-working holiday in Surigao del Norte on May 15.

President Duterte through Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea issued Proclamation 167 declaring the holiday  to allow residents to participate in activities to celebrate the 116th founding anniversary of the province.

The President designated Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III to represent him during the ceremonies. 

Among the activities lined up for the celebration are a trade fair, health summit and blessing of the out-patient department of the Surigao del Norte Provincial Hospital and Sangguniang Panlalawigan building.

The theme of the celebration this year is “Unity, Teamwork and Solidarity for One Surigao.”
