Teener kills self

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A student committed suicide after his mother scolded him on Wednesday, according to a report reaching Camp General Simeon Ola yesterday.

Restituto Barnuevo Jr. ,15, Grade 7 student of the Nasisi Technological Vocational School, was found hanging from a tree in a forested area in Barangay Basag in Ligao City, Albay. 

The sister of the victim, Maricris, 24, told police that her brother went out of their house after he was scolded. 

Barnuevo was pronounced dead on arrival at the Josefina Belmonte Duran Memorial District Hospital. 

The family of the victim is convinced he committed suicide and there is no need for an autopsy.
